Meetings will be held on Fridays, from 12-2 pm, on the second floor lobby of Rockland on the Owings Mills campus until we find a permanent room. The hold up is mostly just waiting for this new Calendar plus thing to work.

We’ll be keeping you posted on club happenings this semester.

So far, Cosplay Club has participated in the Haunted Hallways 2009 event, setup our own Halloween Accesory Sale, and participated with the Wellness Center in the Afghans for Afghans event.

This semester, our first event will be The Rockland Blowout this Thursday, January 28th from 6-9pm in the 2nd floor lobby of the Rockland Center.

From there, we will be attempting to collaborate with the Psychology Club to show a screening of the movie Paprika, hopefully in Rockland.

Then we will be attempting to schedule a seminar or debate on Cosplay and Feminism, depending on where interest lies.

Then our ultimate goal for the semester will be to establish a fundraising maid cafe, with outfits that will serve as an introductory sewing/cosplay group activity for the entire semester.

This is just an overview, I’ll be posting the individual events and details as we go.

As always, club members are welcome to bring their individual projects to work on and get tips, advice, and ideas. One of the goals of the club is to be able to pool and share everyone’s knowledge to teach people how to create their own cosplay projects with as little frustration as possible.
